Earl Tywater Scholarship
NAFDMA's Earl Tywater Scholarship
|
Every year NAFDMA awards the Earl Tywater Scholarship to a
NAFDMA member who has never participated in a NAFDMA conference. Valued at more
than $1,200, the scholarship covers the cost of two people from the same farm
family to participate in the pre-conference bus tour, workshops, the conference, and the NAFDMA awards banquet.
. | | WHY? | | The Earl Tywater Scholarship Fund was established as a memorial to Earl Tywater
of Earl's Fruit Stand in Franklin, Tennessee. Earl was a founder and director
of the North American Farmers' Direct Marketing Association whose appetite for
learning and becoming a better marketer was endless. In honor of that passion,
the NAFDMA Board of Directors, in cooperation with the Tywater family, established
a scholarship fund in Earl's memory. | | | | | WHO? |
The scholarship is open to any NAFDMA member who has never participated in a
NAFDMA conference. The applicant must also meet the following eligibility requirements:

- Business currently operates, or aspires to operate, as a multiple member family
business.
- Established need for financial support to attend.
